Mars Petcare recalls dog food products over vitamin D concerns

Recall announced

In January 2021, Mars Petcare recalled a range of dog food products. The recall was prompted by concerns that the products contained too much vitamin D to be safe for dogs. The company announced the recall as an urgent measure affecting multiple dog food products within its range. The stated basis for the recall was the elevated vitamin D content and the associated safety concern for dogs consuming the products.
