ANRT fines Maroc Telecom for anti-competitive practices

    Fine or penalty

Morocco’s telecommunications regulator, ANRT, fined Maroc Telecom MAD 3.3 billion for unfair competition. ANRT said Maroc Telecom had engaged in conduct that prevented and delayed competitors’ access to local-loop unbundling and the landline market; the fine followed a complaint by competitor Inwi.

Stated objective. To remedy the observed behavior and allow competition to develop in the landline and broadband sector.
