Soon after beginning operations in April 2023, Marabu attracted negative publicity because of major delays, cancellations, aircraft technical problems, missing cabin crew and complaints about passenger communication. The airline said the problems were linked to leased-aircraft issues and crew shortages. It sought to stabilize the schedule by using additional third-party operators and changing its route plan.
