North Macedonian wiretapping scandal
Makedonski Telekom was drawn into a large national wiretapping investigation involving alleged abuses by senior political figures and employees of the Security and Counterespionage Agency. The Special Prosecution stated that the company had not cooperated with the investigation. Deutsche Telekom instructed Magyar Telekom to carry out an internal investigation, but the findings were not made public.
