Lupao Massacre
On February 10, 1987, 17 civilians were killed and eight wounded during a Philippine Army operation connected with the New People's Army insurgency. Soldiers asserted that the victims were rebels, while survivor accounts described them as unarmed civilians. The 24 soldiers tried by court-martial were acquitted.
