Landing gear safety pin left in place; aircraft circles for nearly an hour before returning
In January 2022, a Lucky Air flight from Kunming to Jieyang was unable to retract its landing gear because the safety pin had not been removed, and returned after circling. The preliminary investigation pointed to problems in the handover between crew and maintenance personnel and in the performance of duties.

Crew mistakenly shut off air conditioning packs, triggering oxygen masks; airline's flight hours cut
In July 2018, Lucky Air flight 8L9627 suffered a serious incident in which a crew error caused cabin depressurization. The Civil Aviation Administration of China summoned the airline, cut its transport flight hours by 6% from August to October, and suspended approval of new routes and flights.
