Financial regulator fine concerning disclosure of the Russian sale
Published reports stated that Poland’s financial regulator imposed a reduced PLN 1.8 million fine on LPP over alleged failures or delays in disclosing information related to the terms of the Russian subsidiary sale. The issue concerned disclosure obligations and was reported as distinct from the substantive allegations made by Hindenburg Research.

Dispute over the Russian divestment
Hindenburg Research alleged that LPP’s announced exit from Russia was a sham and that the company continued to benefit from Russian operations through intermediary entities, product flows and post-sale arrangements. LPP rejected the allegations, stated that it did not control or commercially operate the Russian business, and described the report as false or manipulated. The controversy caused a substantial fall in LPP’s share price and prompted criminal notifications and a later police investigation into suspected market manipulation.
