Advertising Standards Authority ruling over 'unlimited' rentals
The Advertising Standards Authority upheld a complaint concerning LoveFilm's use of the word 'unlimited' in rental advertising. Reports alleged that high-volume users could face slower dispatches and less favorable fulfilment under a fair-usage policy, commonly called throttling. LoveFilm defended the policy as a way to distribute service capacity among customers.
