California Proposition 65 settlement over Reine Blanche product warning

Environmental Health Advocates alleged that L'Occitane sold or distributed a Reine Blanche Intense Illuminating Foam product containing diethanolamine without a required California Proposition 65 warning. L'Occitane International (Suisse) SA was named among the released entities in the settlement. The company denied the allegations and the agreement expressly stated that it was not an admission of liability. The settlement required future warnings or cessation of covered-product sales in California and required payments of USD 2,200 in civil penalties and USD 19,300 in attorneys' fees and costs.
