Line 2 equipment procurement irregularities
The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission reported inconsistencies in procurement contracts for Line 2 equipment valued at up to 170.3 million Philippine pesos. Issues included apparent differences between the equipment specified in bidding documents and equipment identified in shipping or manufacturing records, as well as escalators whose stated capacity was below the required specification. LRTA later filed corruption cases involving certain officials and reviewed related projects.
