Poor conditions for deported workers
Administrative reports described the inadequate food and deteriorating health of people deported from Guadeloupe and Saint-Domingue and assigned to labor in Liamone and Golo. By 1808, most of the originally reported workers were no longer present, and half of those remaining were considered too ill to work.
