Baboon escape and disputed disclosure
A baboon escaped from Leofoo Village and was eventually killed. The park initially rejected claims that the animal had escaped from its facility, then admitted that it had come from the park and apologized. The incident created reputational concerns involving animal containment and the transparency of the park's public response.
