Overview
LedaFlow is a product of many years of innovative development by SINTEF, sponsored, guided and supported by TotalEnergies and ConocoPhillips, commercialized and developed further by Falkor (formerly Kongsberg Digital). It is designed to accurately model the transient behavior of oil and gas, CO₂, hydrogen, or steam with high physics fidelity and speed.
History
The history of LedaFlow started in 2001. ConocoPhillips teamed up with SINTEF to launch a research and development project dedicated to the transport of multiphase flow in pipelines. TotalEnergies was invited to join the project which received the name LedaFlow in 2002. In 2004, a proof of concept was achieved based on full-scale experiments in the SINTEF Multiphase Flow Laboratory in Tiller. From 2004 to 2010, the engineering development continued.
