    Formula One launch-control investigation

After the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, the FIA used LDRA to inspect software from leading teams amid allegations that banned electronic driving aids were present. LDRA found automatic-gearshift functionality in McLaren's software and launch-control code in Benetton's engine-management system. Benetton said the launch-control code was retained for testing and had not been used in the race. LDRA concluded that use during the event was unlikely, and the FIA took no action against Benetton or Michael Schumacher.
