Lazio fined over racist abuse by fans

In January 2020, the Italian football federation's disciplinary committee fined Lazio €20,000 after some of the club's fans directed racist abuse at Mario Balotelli during a match at Brescia. The committee also requested further investigation into the incident. The fine was reported in connection with the abuse aimed at Balotelli during the away fixture.

The disciplinary committee also requested further investigation saying it wanted, among other things, proof of Lazio’s “effective collaboration in identifying the individuals involved.”
