Cyberattack and nationwide communications outage
On 12 December, Kyivstar suffered a major cyberattack that interrupted mobile and fixed internet services for millions of users. President Oleksandr Komarov attributed the attack to Russia and said that the incident targeted the company’s virtual infrastructure. Services were subsequently restored.
