Labor dispute over employee dismissals
After KTUL and related Leake-owned operations dismissed employees during a period of union organizing, affected workers alleged the action was retaliation for their activities. The National Labor Relations Board agreed that the dismissals and related employment actions violated labor protections and ordered remedies including back pay. The matter became entangled in a disputed settlement process.
