Cinemax slogan trademark dispute
KOKI-TV filed a federal trademark infringement action against Home Box Office over Cinemax promotional wording that resembled KOKI’s “Oklahoma’s Movie Star” campaign. A district-court injunction, later upheld by the Tenth Circuit, required Cinemax to abandon the challenged campaign.
