Cold War-era allegations involving covert arms and contraband trade

Historical accounts describe Kintex as closely connected to Bulgaria's Committee for State Security and allege that it facilitated weapons sales to smugglers and politically diverse militant groups, particularly in and through Turkey during the 1970s. The accounts also associate the company with cigarette smuggling, covert logistics, and offshore payment structures. These claims concern the communist-era state-trade system and should be distinguished from Kintex's post-1992 commercial-law status.
