Austral Construction financial reporting fraud

Keller reported that a deliberate and sophisticated financial reporting fraud had occurred at its Austral Construction business. The company estimated a £6 million impact on the first half of 2022 and an additional £8 million to £10 million impact relating to earlier years. Two directors were dismissed while investigations continued. The disclosure prompted a profit warning and a reported fall of approximately 10 percent in Keller’s shares.
