Dispute over prices and product quality
KR1M faced allegations that some groceries were more expensive than comparable products at other Malaysian retailers and that selected food products were of poor quality. The pricing allegations were denied by former minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob. The franchise said its products underwent periodic laboratory testing in response to quality concerns.
