Recall of sausage over possible metal fragments
In December 2018, more than 28,000 pounds of Jimmy Dean sausage were recalled because they might have contained metal fragments. The affected ready-to-eat links, produced by CTI Foods, were distributed in 21 states. Five consumers reportedly complained about metal pieces, and the USDA reported no oral injuries. The recall did not cause the brand to become defunct.
