2017
ROCA cryptographic vulnerability
A weakness in an Infineon-developed cryptographic library allowed certain private keys to be inferred from public keys. Affected deployments included some identity cards, trusted-platform modules and systems using vulnerable security chips. Vendors issued mitigations, while affected organizations assessed replacement or remediation options.
2014
Smart-card chip price coordination
The European Commission found Infineon and other smart-card chip manufacturers responsible for unlawful coordination of pricing during the 2003–2005 period.

DRAM price-fixing case
Infineon agreed to plead guilty and cooperate with a United States investigation into coordination among DRAM manufacturers. The case concerned alleged efforts between 1999 and 2002 to influence memory-chip prices and competition.
