Migrant-worker recruitment and working-condition allegations
Reporting described allegations by migrant workers at Giant factories in Taiwan involving crowded accommodation, high recruitment and broker fees, withholding of one month's wages, and penalties connected with workplace mistakes. Giant responded with commitments to prohibit recruitment fees and end wage withholding beginning in 2025. The reported recruitment debts of workers hired before the change were not forgiven.

Jiangsu inspection finds Giant-branded helmets noncompliant

A report on Jiangsu's 2020 helmet inspection said that sampled helmets produced by Giant (Kunshan) failed inspection. The report also said sampled noncompliant products from Giant's online store remained on sale after the market regulator issued written notices to relevant companies.
