Tavera emissions-testing violation
A General Motors India internal investigation following a recall of approximately 114,000 Tavera vehicles found that some employees had used engines that had already failed emissions tests but had been tuned for retesting. Twenty-five employees were dismissed and the company was fined ₹23 million.
