Thomas Cook collapse and tourism rescue attempt
Fosun Tourism participated in proposed rescue arrangements for Thomas Cook, but the wider travel group entered compulsory liquidation in September 2019. Fosun subsequently acquired the Thomas Cook brand.
2015
Temporary disappearance of chairman Guo Guangchang
Guo Guangchang was reported missing on 11 December 2015 and returned on 14 December. Fosun said he had been assisting a government inquiry; the company temporarily suspended share trading and stated that it did not expect a material adverse effect on operations or finances.
