Insider-trading allegations during the News Corp takeover
During the takeover contest, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission alleged that Sir David Li had passed information about the proposed News Corporation transaction to an associate. The associate allegedly relayed the information to family members who traded before the announcement and made a substantial profit.
