Exposure of driving-licence records
In May 2020, information reportedly covering 26 million driving licences appeared publicly online. Ukrainian authorities said the Diia application was not connected to the incident. The event nevertheless raised concerns about the security of government databases, the protection of digital identity information, and the risks of expanding official document storage and exchange online.
