Daremergency prize-notification error
A technical failure in the Daremergency promotion incorrectly told hundreds of participants that they had won $1,000 prepaid Mastercards. A later Bega Group message, referred to as a Daremergency Correction, withdrew the mistaken notifications. The episode led to consumer backlash and media coverage, while Nedd's Milk used the situation for a rival marketing effort.
