Crew-welfare and employment-compliance concerns
In June 2020, Maritime and Coastguard Agency inspections resulted in five CMV ships being detained. Reported findings included expired or invalid seafarer employment agreements, late wage payments and crew members who had remained aboard for more than twelve months.
