Cheque-processing fee coordination case
France's Autorité de la concurrence fined eleven banks a combined €384.9 million over coordinated fees for cheque processing. The case focused especially on additional charges associated with the migration from paper cheque transfers to electronic cheque-image exchanges. Crédit du Nord was one of the institutions included in the decision.
