Fatal shooting at a Coral Square shop
On November 26, 2016, a shop owner shot and wounded an employee and then fatally shot himself. Emergency responders transported the injured employee to a nearby hospital, where the employee was expected to recover. The mall closed temporarily and reopened later in the afternoon under a heavy police presence.
