Coles acquired Pharmacy Direct and was accused of using the business's corporate pharmacy licence in a manner that conflicted with restrictions on pharmacy ownership. The Pharmacy Guild of Australia pursued legal action, and the New South Wales Supreme Court later ordered Coles to sell the business.
