US anti-kickback and False Claims Act settlement
Cochlear Americas paid US$880,000 to resolve allegations that its Partners Program provided improper remuneration, including credits, discounted products, gifts, travel, and other benefits to healthcare providers to induce purchases or use of Cochlear devices for Medicare and Medicaid patients. The settlement resolved allegations and did not constitute an admission of liability by the company.
