Unsolved killings of two dollar-store employees
Two clerks at a dollar store inside Cloverleaf Mall were found stabbed to death. The available reference states that the murders remained unsolved as of 2019. The incident contributed to the mall's later negative public image, although its long-term decline also involved competition, shifting development patterns, and anchor-store departures.
