    Hijacking of CEC Future

    Armed Somali pirates hijacked the Clipper-owned CEC Future off Somalia on 7 November 2008 and held its thirteen crew members for 71 days. The crew was released in January 2009 following negotiations led by chief executive Per Gullestrup and a reported ransom payment. The incident was later adapted as the inspiration for the Danish film A Hijacking.
