Regulatory action over unauthorized additive changes
South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety imposed restrictions affecting nine medicines after finding that pharmaceutical additives had been changed without required approval and manufacturing records had not properly documented the changes. The regulator ordered recall measures for affected medicines already on the market, while some immediate measures were handled differently in consideration of patient needs.
