The Chipshol Affair
A decades-long controversy over Chipshol’s land around Schiphol Airport and its plans for an Airport City. The dispute involved development restrictions, aviation-safety arguments, land-control measures, Schiphol Airport, government bodies, and the Dutch judiciary. It later included allegations of judicial conflicts of interest, corruption, conspiracy, and perjury. The judges accused in the matter were acquitted, and the affair is described as closed in 2014.
