Chery recalls OMODA 5 in Malaysia over rear axle welding risk

    Recall announced

Chery said a vehicle issue involving a 2023 OMODA 5 occurred in Malaysia with no injuries. Chery's Malaysia subsidiary, in coordination with Malaysia's road transport department (JPJ), has launched a recall of affected OMODA 5 vehicles, inspecting relevant parts and replacing them free of charge as needed. The company also began a precautionary special risk inspection of the same batch of OMODA 5 vehicles in China and related markets and apologized for the inconvenience.
