Television allegations concerning financing and related-party transactions
RTÉ's Prime Time and Marketplace reported concerns that Business Expansion Scheme investors may not have fully understood contracts involving businesses connected with key shareholders. The programmes also questioned the valuation of land supplied by Tramore Fáilte and expenses incurred on Celtworld's behalf. The responsible minister rejected the allegations, stating that material contracts and valuation information had been disclosed and that the questioned expenses had not affected European grant funding.
