Retail Drug Employees Union strike and related misconduct
A dispute beginning in March 1955 led to a strike lasting approximately twenty months. Reports described picketing, threats or assaults involving delivery drivers, telephone disruption, and a stink bomb thrown into a store. The telephone-jamming operation resulted in felony convictions for several union organizers.
