A former diving champion has filed a lawsuit against the parent company of famed Lakewood Mexican restaurant Casa Bonita, alleging he was denied an opportunity to audition to be a cliff diver because he was too old.
The lawsuit was filed Sept. 30 in Jefferson County District Court on behalf of 76-year-old Samuel Hernandez against Salt Lake City-based Summit Family Restaurants, which owns the restaurant, Denver Gazette news partner 9News reported.
