    Li Peiying, former general manager of Capital Airports Holding Company, was executed in 2009 for accepting bribes and embezzling more than 100 million yuan, one of the largest corruption cases in the civil aviation system at the time; another former general manager, Zhang Zhizhong, was sentenced to three years in 2017 for accepting shopping cards as bribes; in May 2025, Liu Chunchen, former deputy party secretary and general manager of Capital Airports Holding Company and former director of the Airport Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, was placed under review and investigation by the CCDI and NSC disciplinary inspection and supervision team stationed at the Ministry of Transport and the Beijing Dongcheng District Supervisory Commission. Criminal judgment; the Liu Chunchen case is under review.
