Daet massacre
On June 14, 1982, government forces opened fire on demonstrators in Daet who were protesting copra prices and political conditions. Four people were killed at the scene, at least fifty were injured, and two seriously injured victims later died. The victims were later recognized at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani memorial.
