Killing of waiter Roy Jackson
Roy Jackson, a waiter at Ca d'Oro, was killed aboard the Whangaroa in Napier. The incident has subsequently been interpreted as gay-bashing, although the accused men were acquitted of manslaughter. The available account does not establish criminal liability for Ca d'Oro or its operators.
