Post-war scrutiny of wartime publishing
After the Second World War, Dutch denazification authorities found enemy funds in Brill's accounts and scrutinized the company's wartime work for the German occupying authorities. Director Theunis Folkers was arrested, barred from management, and the company paid a negotiated fine.
