Brightmark

Brightmark is a waste solutions company that aims to create a world without waste. Its Plastics Renewal® technology uses a patented pyrolysis process to convert post-use plastics into usable hydrocarbons, producing feedstocks like PyBright and CarbonBright. The company also develops recycling programs for difficult-to-recycle plastics in industries such as medical and schools.

Brightmark was founded with a mission to Reimagine Waste, beginning its development of projects across the country. In 2019-2021, the Ashley Circularity Center broke ground, and Brightmark reached the milestone of over 30 circularity centers in development as part of its renewable natural gas portfolio. In 2022, Brightmark strategically partnered with NOAA’s Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary to recycle difficult-to-recycle plastics. In 2023, Brightmark completed its second-largest renewable natural gas project in Michigan and was awarded for global sustainability for its RNG projects. In 2024, Brightmark announced development plans for a $1B circularity center in Thomaston, Georgia, launched an elementary school recycling program and a medical plastic waste diversion program, and celebrated reducing emissions by more than 1MM tons of CO2eq through its circularity centers.
