Facebook and Instagram data-access dispute
Business Insider reported concerns about Brand24's collection of Instagram-related information, in the wider context of post-Cambridge Analytica scrutiny of platform data access and scraping. Facebook subsequently blocked Brand24's accounts and required a compliance review. Brand24 suspended monitoring from the affected services, later reached an agreement with Facebook, and changed its system to use public mentions obtained through official APIs.
