Political advertising wrapper controversy
A National Rifle Association-funded wrapper with the message “Defend Freedom, Defeat Obama” was placed around copies of several Booth newspapers rather than inside them. Complaints followed because the newspapers had endorsed Obama. The Flint Journal issued an apology and described the placement as a delivery or communication error.
