Boatrocker was founded in 2009 by Matt & Andrea Houghton. It started by selling its first beers from the back of their car. The company is described as Australia's first barrel room and cellar door. Matt's inspiration came from a television show called 'The Beer Hunter' in the 80s, which led him to study brewing at Ballarat Uni.
